Yumika Tanaka is a digital media artist and designer in San Francisco Bay Area. She was born and raised in Japan until the age of nineteen, and she has lived in the United States ever since. In 2013 she was awarded an MFA in Digital Media from CADRE Laboratory for New Media at San Jose State University. Her works, ranging from large-scale installations to posters, have been shown in the Bay Area, including Triton Museum of Art, San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, ZERO1 Biennales, SF Public Works, as well as SIGGRAPH (Anaheim) and Strawberry Festival (NYC). She was also a curatorial assistant for SIGCHI at WORKS/SAN JOSE.
